To omit indentation in the entire document put setlength <0pt>in the preamble. If you do that, you may want to also set the length of spaces between paragraphs, parskip (see parindent & parskip).

Heading This is my document text.

What is the difference between par and paragraph ? I can skip a space between two paragraphs and have it retained on in the output on XeLaTeX. How is the effect different from using paragraph environment?

Thus, the previous example can be written in ConTeXt as the following:
In LaTeX, unnumbered sections, subsections, and so forth can be produced by adding an asterisk to the sectioning command, as in this example.

Remove the spacing between paragraphs and have a small paragraph indentation
There is also a savetrees package which does a lot of squeezing, but the results don’t always look nice, so it is better to try one or more of the above tricks instead.

This was raised on stackexchange, and the mighty John Kitchin provided a quick solution with the following simple function to strip comments from the org file, which we then add to the org export hook:
which leads to a paragraph break between the two lines. This is the intended behaviour of the exporter, but I want it to export like this:

The verbatim environment is a paragraph-making environment that gets LaTeX to print exactly what you type in. It turns LaTeX into a typewriter with carriage returns and blanks having the same effect that they would on a typewriter. The output looks exactly as it looks in the input file.
The difference between verbatim and verbatim* is that the latter prints spaces as “visual” spaces, i.e., a short, squat “u”.

This is another paragraph, which shows what it looks like to have a paragraph that wraps but indents the first line instead of the following lines.

Ah, LaTeX. The programmer’s text processing system, in which you have to compile your document before it turns into something viewable. It gives us the joys of truly beautiful equation typesetting and the agonies of obscure commands, crazy “badness” rules, and sometimes obstreperous auto-figure placement.

I was also struggling to set no indentation! Your post was really helpful!
LaTeX will classify anything preceeded by a blank line or defined with a par marker to be a new paragraph. As a default, LaTeX indents the first line of each paragraph. To turn this off, put the following at the top of the document or in a .sty file:
